Benjamin Geisser, geboren am 13. Juli 1990 in St. Gallen, ist ein ehemaliger Schweizer Handballspieler, der hauptsächlich auf der Position des Kreisläufers spielte. Mit einer Größe von 193 cm und einem Gewicht von 95 kg brachte er ideale körperliche Voraussetzungen für diese Position mit. Seine Handballkarriere begann er beim TSV St. Otmar St. Gallen, wo er alle Nachwuchsstufen durchlief und den Sprung in die erste Mannschaft schaffte. Nach Stationen beim HC Arbon und TSV Fortitudo Gossau wechselte er zu den Kadetten Schaffhausen, mit denen er 2014 und 2015 die Schweizer Meisterschaft und 2013 sowie 2014 den Supercup gewann. Zur Saison 2015/2016 kehrte er zu St. Otmar zurück und wurde dort zu einer wichtigen Stütze des Teams. In der Nationalliga A absolvierte er insgesamt 326 Spiele und erzielte dabei 983 Tore. Zudem bestritt er 15 Länderspiele für die Schweizer Nationalmannschaft und erzielte 13 Tore. Im Januar 2023 gab Geisser aufgrund gesundheitlicher Probleme seinen Rücktritt vom Profihandball bekannt. Dennoch nahm er im November 2023 mit dem US-Team San Francisco CalHeat an der Klub-Weltmeisterschaft (IHF Super Globe) teil und trug mit vier Toren zum ersten Sieg eines nordamerikanischen Teams in diesem Wettbewerb bei. Seit der Saison 2024/2025 ist er als Assistenztrainer beim TSV St. Otmar tätig. Parallel dazu arbeitet er als Sozialarbeiter bei der Betrieblichen Sozialberatung Proitera, nachdem er ein Studium der Sozialwissenschaften an der Ostschweizer Fachhochschule abgeschlossen hat. Benjamin Geisser bleibt dem Handball somit in verschiedenen Rollen erhalten und bringt seine umfangreiche Erfahrung sowohl im sportlichen als auch im sozialen Bereich ein.
